Ghost Theory Kickstarter campaign almost 50% funded
We recently did an interview with Dreadlocks, the developers behind Ghost Theory, a promising investigative VR horror title that’s currently on its second Kickstarter campaign. The campaign has almost reached the halfway mark with 15 days to go. Almost a thousand backers have raised £23.361 of the £50,000 needed. Whether the game succeeds or not is a mystery but the developers have stated that this second campaign will be the last hope for Ghost Theory.

Česká duchařina Ghost Theory zatím na Kickstarteru vybrala polovinu částky
O Kickstarteru české hororové adventury Ghost Theory jsme už psali. Od té doby se kampaň dostala do své poloviny. Do konce zbývá 16 dnů a vývojáři mají vybráno téměř 50 %. Připomeňme, že k úspěšně dokončené kampani je potřeba vybrat 50 000 liber a v tuto chvíli jsou Dreadlocks na 23 000 librách. K příležitosti dosažení skoro poloviny požadované částky jsme se dočkali také několika menších novinek, včetně interaktivní mapy a nových bonusů.

Some time ago we bought you news of the game Ghost Theory, which has you exploring real-life haunted locations, and naturally, it looked scary as shit. It was raising funds on Kickstarter, but sadly the campaign was not getting the contributions that it needed and was cancelled shortly before its deadline. But try, try again, eh? Developer Dreadlocks have gone ahead and launched another Kickstarter campaign, and this time they’re only asking for £50,000, half of their original asking price. So far, it’s doing a hell of a lot better than the first, so it seems like we will be seeing the game after all.

A Dreadlocks csapatának készülőfélben lévő horror-kalandjátéka a való világból merít inspirációt: a Ghost Theory névre keresztelt project-ben ugyanis paranormális nyomozóink valódi, létező kísértetházakat és hasonlóan hajmeresztő helyszíneket fognak felfedezni. A játék során megannyi ilyen területet kell majd bejárnunk, s paranormális nyomozásra specializálódott kütyükkel feltérképeznünk – minden egyes helyszín a maga önálló világa lesz, saját sztorival. Ha végeztünk, szépen visszatérünk a „bázisra” (azaz a munkáltatónkként funkcionáló egyetemre), majd némi átvezető dialógus után irány a következő misszió.

GHOST THEORY – VĚDECKÁ DUCHAŘINA
Pražské studio Dreadlocks je v posledních měsících nebývale aktivní. Ne vždy ale proto, že by snad jeho členové chtěli. Když se vývojáři postarali o konzolové verze kyberpunkového RPG Dex, vrhli se s veškerou vervou do vývoje duchařské adventury Ghost Theory, jejíž vývoj chtěli, respektive stále chtějí, částečně pokrýt pomocí prostředků z Kickstarteru. Napoprvé jim to ale v lednu letošního roku nevyšlo. Zřejmě se svým projektem hráče nezaujali proto, že prezentovali Ghost Theory jako hru určenou hlavně pro virtuální realitu. Možná potenciální podporovatele odradila i celková částka ve výši 100 tisíc liber. Ať už byl důvod jakýkoli, Dreadlocks kampaň zastavili, znovu si svůj přístup promysleli a v polovině dubna se s Ghost Theory na Kickstarter vrátili. Tentokrát doufají vybrat 50 tisíc liber, ale hlavně hru prezentují jako klasický first-person horor pro běžné platformy včetně konzolí a PC. Podpora virtuální reality hře také nechybí, ale už to není hlavní tahák projektu. Pojďme se tedy podívat, co vlastně Ghost Theory nabídne, pokud se druhý Kickstarter vydaří.
